Concert "The Music of the Excluded"


The concert for the International Holocaust Remembrance Day starts from an analysis about the rights denied to artists; under the nazi regim most of the contemporary art was censored. The show will focus on a wide variety of music performed (Bach, Mahler, Mendelssohn, Weill, Sinigaglia, Morton, Schönberg) and the classes of chamber music, of piano, of choir, from the departments of jazz and ancient music, will be involved, with the participation of the accordionist Massimo Pitzianti.

Will be presented reading of diaries, letters written by Italian Jews in 1938 and in 1939, original documents, also expression of the “degenerate” art.
