Jasminka Domaš will give a lecture dedicated to the painter Jechezkiel David Kirszenbaum (1900-1954) in the Mimara Museum, on 31 January 2019, at the occasion of his retrospective exhibition, held in the Museum until 3 February 2019. He was born in Poland, but lived in Germany from 1920s, from where he moved to Paris in 1933, running from the Nazism. He was one of the avant-garde artists between two world wars, considered as a participant of the Jewish Renaissance Movement. After 1940, he was imprisoned in the South of France and lost whole family in the Nazi concentration camps. After the WII Kirszenbaum was living and working in France, Brasil and Marocco.
