Memory for the Future project has been run since 2003 by the Centre for Education Development in cooperation with the Children of the Holocaust Association in Poland. It offers support to schools in the development of educational undertakings related to the Day of Holocaust Remembrance and Prevention of Crimes Against Humanity, which is celebrated in Poland on 19 April, the day the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising broke out in 1943.

The project consists of two parts: 1) 3-day teacher training (1-3 February 2019) – dedicated to teachers of diverse school subjects (history, civics, the Polish language, ethics, religion) as well as methodology advisers, teacher-consultants and specialist in history and civics education; 2) all-Poland school competition on educational projects concerning the Holocaust Remembrance Day – the 2019 edition is entitled August and September 1939 in my hometown.

The teacher training program includes meetings with the members of the Children of the Holocaust Association in Poland - witnesses of the history as well as lectures and workshops prepared and led by experts from the Museum of History of the Polish Jews and Jewish Historical Institute.
