The Austrian Holocaust Memorial Service is a program within the NGO Austrian Service Abroad working with Holocaust survivors, memorial sites, museums and other Holocaust institutions. The Austrian Service Abroad sends AHMS interns to provide assistance to the aforementioned institutions, where they study and preserve the history of the Holocaust , organize seminars and record testimonies of survivors.Volunteers complete a 12-month internship that also counts as an alternative to the Austrian military Service and the alternative Civilian service.
