Elie Wiesel National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania launches a virtual tour of the Holocaust Memorial in Bucharest

The Elie Wiesel National Institute for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania has recently posted on its website a virtual tour of the Memorial dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust, located in Bucharest. Through the following link http://inshr-ew.ro/memorial/ any interested party has the opportunity to get an up-lose, panoramic, real-life view of the installations contained within in the Memorial.

The Memorial was officially opened on 8 October 2009, on the occasion of the National Day of Commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust in Romania and was built following the recommendations of the International Commission for the Study of the Holocaust in Romania as an expression of Romania’s commitment to assume its past and the crimes committed against the Jewish and the Roma population during World War II.
