Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony

London

AJR’S ANNUAL HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE WILL TAKE PLACE ON TUESDAY 22ND JANUARY 2019 AT 2PM. Followed by tea

The Service will be led by Rabbi Stuart Altshuler and will reflect the theme for HMD 2019, ‘Torn from home’.

We are delighted to welcome Lord Eric Pickles, Co-Chair of the UK Holocaust Memorial Foundation, as our keynote speaker.

Other speakers will include one of our second generation members, son of a Kind, speaking on his involvement with AJR, and Freddy Kosten, who came on the Kindertransport from Austria in March 1939, in conversation with Dr Bea Lewkowicz, the Refugee Voices archive Director.

AJR members will light six memorial candles to remember the lives of the six million Jewish people murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators during the Holocaust.
