The Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada in partnership with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights presents two events to mark IHRD: On January 27 at Eckhardt-Gramatte Hall, University of Winnipeg - A concert featuring music from Manitoba composers. David R. Scott's "Songs from the Ringelblum Archive" and Sid Robinovitch's "Eddy's Story."
On September 28 at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights: Screening of Alexandre Valenti's film, "The Maestro." The story of Francesco Lotoro's quest to bring to life an entire history of forgotten music. Lotoro has scoured Europe to discover and record music composed clandestinely in World War II camps.
Admission is free to both events and transportation for survivors is provided.
