The National Holocaust Memorial Day commemoration will be marked in Ireland on the evening of Sunday, January 30 2022, at a ceremony in The Round Room at the Mansion House, Dublin 2. The ceremony cherishes the memory of those who perished in the Holocaust and recalls the millions of innocent Jewish men, women, children and other victims who were persecuted and murdered by the Nazis and their collaborators because of their ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, political affiliations or their religious beliefs. The commemoration includes readings, survivors’ recollections, Scroll of Names, candle-lighting and music. It will be attended by the President of Ireland, government officials, diplomats, survivors and people from all walks of Irish life and we believe it will be a very moving, dignified and impressive ceremony. Due to COVID restrictions and social distancing guidelines, this event is limited to 50% audience capacity.
The program will be livestreamed on YouTube.
