On 23 March 2022 from 16:00 – 17:00 CET the IHRA held a Zoom Webinar launching the recently adopted IHRA Guidelines for Identifying Relevant Documentation for Holocaust Research, Education and Remembrance.
Access to Holocaust-related material helps societies deal openly and accurately with the past. Unfortunately, many obstacles stand in the way of open access. The IHRA’s Guidelines help archives and researchers change that.
This event featured a panel discussion with Prof. Dr. Michael Hollmann, President of the German Federal Archives, Nevena Bajalica, co-founder and program manager at Terraforming, and Ernst Steigenga, National Delegate on Holocaust remembrance, education and research at the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport. The event was moderated by Dr. Veerle Vanden Daelen, Deputy General Director and Director of Collections & Research at Kazerne Dossin.
Introductory remarks were made by IHRA Chair Ambassador Ann Bernes, IHRA Secretary General Dr. Kathrin Meyer, and Director of the International Relations Division at Yad Vashem, Dr. Haim Gertner.
The webinar was streamed on the IHRA’s LinkedIn page and via Zoom.
