Annual Report 2024

"Remembrance alone is not enough. We must translate memory into responsibility: to reject distortion, to defend truth, and to foster societies built on dignity and respect. Together, we can ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust continue to inform the way we meet the challenges of today."

Report summary

From January 2024 to March 2025, the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) continued to advance its mission to preserve the memory of the Holocaust and the genocide of the Roma, counter distortion, and strengthen education and research. The organization’s work was guided by core principles reaffirmed during the 25th anniversary year of the Stockholm Declaration. Member Countries came together at two Plenary Meetings in Glasgow and London to strengthen cooperation and launch new initiatives like the Archival Access Forum. IHRA-wide expert discussions and conferences demonstrated the IHRA’s growing role in tackling contemporary challenges such as rising antisemitism and antigypsyism, and the impact of emerging technologies.
