United in safeguarding the record and combating distortion
The impressive continued cooperation and support from our Member Countries as well as our strengthened efforts towards countering distortion and safeguarding the historical record framed IHRA’s work in 2018 under the Italian IHRA Presidency. We saw again the growth of extremist and populist incidents and discourse, reminding us that our objectives are ever more pertinent. According to our experiences, survivors today are very much concerned with the safety of their families and the Jewish community as a whole, as well as with the fear of being forgotten. This concern guided our work and motivated our international network of experts and political representatives.
