A year of strengthening dialogue
2017 was a year of important discussions and excellent cooperation within the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. Under the thoughtful guidance of the Swiss Chairmanship, our 31 Member Countries agreed on a strategy for the first time in our organization’s 20 year history. Ambassador Benno Bättig, François Wisard, and Sir Andrew Burns guided the process towards setting the theme “Countering Holocaust Distortion and Safeguarding the Record” as our organizational focus for the next five years.
