The German IHRA membership has fostered the cooperation and efforts of the numerous and diverse institutions focused on Holocaust remembrance, research and education throughout Germany. The vast number of memorials that have emerged since the Stockholm Declaration form part of Germany’s remembrance culture and provide an important basis for debates on its Nazi past. The most important outcome of Germany’s IHRA membership is the dialogue with colleagues from other countries, which has led to the realization of a variety of bilateral and multilateral projects.

The German delegation is pleased by the widespread support of the recently adopted working definition of antigypsyism/anti-Roma discrimination in Germany by diverse stakeholders, including the German Federal Cabinet, businesses, and a variety of civil society organizations. Zweck dieser Leitlinien ist es, ein einheitliches Werkzeug zur Identifizierung einschlägiger Dokumentation für den Holocaust betreffende Forschung, Erinnerung und Bildung zur Verfügung zu stellen und somit Archive und andere Stellen dabei zu unterstützen, ihre Bestände zu überprüfen und den Zugang zu einschlägiger Dokumentation zu ermöglichen.
Im Geiste der Stockholmer Erklärung hat der Ausschuss für Antisemitismus und Holocaustleugnung das IHRA Plenum in Budapest 2015 aufgefordert, die nachstehende Arbeitsdefinition von Antisemitismus anzunehmen.
